Rebranding Powderhorn

For the 2019/20 winter season, Powderhorn unveiled a new logo and rebranding initative to coincide with exciting upgrades coming to the resort. The rebrand was inspired by Powderhorn's original logo dating back to the 1960’s. Powderhorn's new icon recalls the resort's origins, taking the shape of a powder horn reversed from a mountain slope background.

A powder horn is the horn of an ox, cow, or similar animal used to hold gunpowder. Powderhorn's original founders settled on a name and imagry that paid tribute to the resort's western roots and the light, dry powder snow unique to the area.

For over 50 years, Powderhorn has continued to evolve and offer a memorable resort experience for new and returning guests.

Powder - Powderhorn Delivers, Mate

It was 2006. Several wonderful Scottish friends Joe Coll (an Irishman in disguise), Mark Van Dome (which sounds a bit Dutch), and my old mate Charlie French from Huddersfield (which sounds like he was a Yorkshire spy for Le Service Revenue) all popped up in Basalt, Colorado.
